Stephanie Johnson, Attorney at Law

Stephanie is a former prosecutor, who now uses her skills and knowledge to represent the accused as an experienced criminal defense lawyer. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of North Dakota. During law school, she interned for the Legal Assistance for Minnesota Prisoners Project, where she wrote an appellate brief and helped argue it to the Minnesota Court of Appeal. She clerked for the Minnesota Public Defender’s Office and tried a felony juvenile offense as a second-year law student. In her third year of law school, she was hired by the Carver County Attorney’s Office and handled misdemeanor and traffic court trials. For a short time before joining the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, she also clerked for a Minnesota state judge and prepared and drafted legal memorandums and opinions.

In 2008, Stephanie became a Deputy District Attorney, where she prosecuted charges throughout Los Angeles County. She has over ten years of trial experience and has handled thousands of cases ranging from juvenile offenses to murder. In her tenure as a deputy district attorney, she tried nearly 50 cases to a jury and handled over 300 preliminary hearings. After leaving the DA’s Office and before entering private practice, Stephanie also worked for the City of Redondo Beach in their criminal prosecution section and handled misdemeanors for the cites of Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach.

She now puts her skills as a litigator and her experience as a prosecutor to work for those accused of crimes in the Los Angeles area and beyond. Stephanie is a veteran of the court system, and knows how prosecutors approach their cases. Her experience makes her a dedicated and skilled advocate for her clients and she has a long-standing history of achieving the results her clients deserve.
